I have a 1992 Ford F150 regular cab..and the passenger side power window does not operate. Whenever I operate the power window switch on either my side..or the passenger..I just hear a 'clunk' whenever I try to open..or close the window. The window does not move. Does all of this mean the motor has to be replaced?? And...is this a very expensive repair?? Thanks in advance to all that reply.
if you haven't fixed your problem yet, i have a similar issue on the drivers side power windows on my 88 xlt lariat. The motors themselves usualy run abour $45 from advanced discount auto. You could also get it for $44.99 from lmctruck.com
you'd have to pull the door panel off, take the bolts out that hold the assembly to the door and take the assemble out. What happens alot of times is the motor moves the arm down to a point where it hits the stop and freezes. I have this problem on mine, but the motor assembly on mine is bent in a few directions.
