Cool It's Back!!

Well, my rough idle issue is back. It is intermittent, and only when it's at operating temp. I am looking at possibilities that I will be investigating, but would like some insight.

1. Injector wiring harness loose or shorting.
2. Injector going on me.
3. Injector o-rings.
4. IDM.

Has anyone fixed a similar issue, and what may be the most likely candidate for this problem? It has a new CPS, ICP, recently serviced IPR, and all wires/connections look good.

Thanks a bunch,
Mike

Which of the ICP, IPR and CMP fixed it the first time? How long did it stay fixed before the problem returned.

Changing the oil and servicing the IPR seemed to fixed the majority of the problem. Went ahaead and changed the ICP and CPS and the problem went away totally. It has been about three months since the problem first manifested itself. I have a new set of valve cover gaskets w/ wire harnesses that I picked up dirt cheap, and thought about just changing them out for the fun of it. That would at least let me see if there are any bad connections to the injectors. I have no ses light and no codes stored. Thanks

Do you think it could be as simple as needing the oil changed again? Easier than swapping harnesses.

It could be, only has about 1500 miles on it since the last oil change though. Will give that a try next weekend for grins. Thanks again

Was also wondering at the possibility of the rough idle being caused by the torque converter. It may not be fuel or oil related all together.

It wouldn't be the first time I've heard that. Is the converter making any noise? Like like a can of marbles being shaken.

A little bit, if you are listening for that specifically you can hear it. It may be possible that it has warped just enough to cause the rough idle I am experiencing. The truck does have a mild vibration while at idle, which seems like it may possibly very well be t/c related.

I will check the flywheel as well when I replace my t/c. I have been wanting to upgrade for awhile anyways. Thanks
