I just picked up a used idle cintroller box and I am not sure where to plug it into. Any idea where the plug goes and about how much is this thing worth because i dont have much in it? thanks in advance.
If it is a Genuine Ford idle controller, the plug for it is almost under the ash tray. Mine was under there. Get a flashlight and look, it shouldn't be that deep in, but it is in the ashtray area. Used on ebay I see they go for around 100-150. Big bucks brand new though from Ford.
They were going to toss this one in the trash at work, so i picked it up for nothing and now i just have to install it on my truck and make it work. So there is a plug underneath the ash tray? Do I have to unplug anything to plug it in or is it an empty plug and just plug and play?

Wow, can't beat that!!!! Just plug and play. Don't look too hard as it might be right in front of you (like I did) it isn't plugged into anything. If anything it would be from the ashtray to the passenger side like a 1' area. One thing: for standard or auto you have to engage the parking brake at least enough to turn the brake light on in the dash then you can engage it.
