Supercharger
#2
For a start, welcome to the site!!!
I know the following make superchargers for the 2 valve 4.6:
Vortech (centrifugal type): http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/...s/4FM218IM.PDF
Allen (Roots style): http://www.allenengine.com/46truck1.html
Kenne Belle (twin screw type): http://www.kennebell.net/supercharge...-navigator.htm
Both of the top two products are available at one of our forum sponsers cheaper than through the manufacturers: http://www.proficientperformance.com

Hi!
Like Bigf350 said, all those kits mentioned are good...it will boil down to personal preference, and how you use your truck.
On that F150, I've gotten more customers who are happy with the Allen kits when most of the driving they do is in the city, and the truck is loaded (some do tow as well, so the added low end torque is a big plus)
I also have spoken to some owners who have the centrifugal kits, and they love the extra midrange and top-end this type gives. Mostly for open road driving / cruising. I'm sure there are other owners here that can also give you first hand experience with their chargers.
Hope this helpsyou make your decision.
Regards,
JT

Twin Screw? Centrifigul?
To reiterate what JT stated:
finding out what kind of performance you want out of your vehicle is going to help you make the decision. twin screw blowers are great for towing and lots of low end torque. if you want the mid range and high end power you'll find a centrigiful will be more to your liking. most of the kits we offer come complete with tuning so you dont have to worry about it. but like 2000BLK did you can get a custom tune and work more out of the kit. it really comes down to that, do you tow, or just want to impress your friends?

I did a spreadsheet comparing the dynographs from a run I made with basically an out-of-the-box kit and my current setup with a 12# pulley and picked up an average of nearly 50hp across the entire powerband. Lot more power than can be accounted for from the pulley alone. A competent tuner will be able to squeeze quite a bit of safe power out of certain combination. My A/F ratios are dead flat around 11.8 under boost and I've verified that with independant datalogging.
