I have a 2003 Ford 250HD CC 4x4 with 6.0L PS (03/03 make), everytime i mash the pedal it hesitates for what seems like a second, after that it runs like it's on nitrous. I had it in the shop and tech. says there is nothing wrong, he thought it was a computer program flash that defuels at the start so that it saves the transmission?????
Is this Tech. telling the truth, if not does anyone know what could cause this problem????? or is this normal???
TURBO LAG!!! Get used to it. There is probably nothing wrong with it. If the RPMs go up when you step on the accelerator but the truck doesn't move very fast, then its turbo lag. If you step on it and nothing happens for a second (no change in RPM or anything), then there might be something wrong with it. I believe there have been other posts about this "dead pedal" issue. Try doing a search.
Remember. This is a diesel and it will not have the "off-the-line" snap that a gasser will. You have to relearn this new driving technique.
