Camshaft Position Sensor

I need to do a head gasket job on a '99 3.o OHV and the manual states that I need a special tool to time the drive assembly/sensor. The dealer said they don't sell them, any ideas on how to do this? Also the manual states that the head bolts are the TTY type and need to be replaced, the heads look to be cast iron but I have not checked. Thanks for any help.

I had aways thought that TTY bolts were for aluminum heads but I guess I was wrong. I now have the heads off and I did not need to remove the Camshaft Position Sensor synchronizer, just removed the sensor from the top of the synchronizer and there was enough room to remove the manifold. I hate the Haynes manuals, it said to remove the synchronizer, cat, O2 sensors, exhaust manifolds and Y-pipe to remove the heads which I did not do or need to do.

The job is now done and the engine runs great! I bought a '99 Sable GS from the org owner for $400 because it had a bad head gasket. The car is vey clean and she did not smoke or have kids so the inside is clean also. I have a total of $550 in the car and thinking of selling to make some quick cash.
