Got a cheapy suspension idea!

Bear with me here...
On my 94 F-150, if I do a shackle flip in the rear (supposed to be 4" of lift, right?), and throw in some 4" lift coils from broncograveyard, that will give me a 4" lift, correct (jeez this sounds like a stupid question). You see, I can't really warrant paying 4-500 $$$ for the lift coils and some rear blocks or an add-a-leaf and some cheap shocks. Id rather do something "custom", and save a little money. I was a little leary about the whole shackle flip idea, but "all the cool kids are doin' it". I'd like to get a second opinion here please. Wait, do I need the brackets for the TTBs too... man I hate TTB!!!!!

For alignment issues yes you'll need a drop center pivot bracket and probly longer radius arms with drop brackets for them also if you want the front end to stay in alignment.

unless you make longer shackles the shackle flip with stock shackles will only net you about 3". i would suggestdoing a shackle flip and running a couple of short ford blocks and then add an extra leaf to help keep the axle wrap down (not an add a leaf, an extra leaf from another leaf pack)

that will work if you get the ttb brackets

well, right after I posted this, I realized that I'm a retard, because the individual suspension parts that I found (front lift coils, drop brackets, drop pitman arm, and shocks) actually cost more than a kit that I am buying. The kit has all the drop brackets, drop pitman arm, front lift coils, rear add-a-leafs, all mounting hardware, and 4 Heckethorn shocks for $449. The kit also comes with a free steering stabilizer. Individual parts, not including shocks or brake lines was going to be almost $400.
I intend to swap in a Dana 60 when money and time allows, but for now, this will have to do.

What kit are you going to use for $449?

Think about your long term plans for a second. You plan to down the road SAS with a D60 at some point, but for hte moment you want to "get by". Why not SAS with a D44 that you can afford, leave it as it is and run it untill you can afford the D60 axle? You'll have most of the SAS work out of the way NOW, so that later its just a matter of converting the D60 over to work with coils. There are more options these days for doing the coil setup up front, like a modified 3 link from Cage and other cool stuff. And unless you're going to do massive lift (ie Superbeast or The Captain) then the coil suspension should be easy and perform better.

Just saying..if you were planning on doing the TTB thing for a while and upgrading to the D50 outers and stuff like that, then doing the TTB lift would be fine. But going you route, you're throwing money away basically. Which..if you can afford it, that's fine.

The kit that I am going to be using is part # 465PUH on http://www.rockymountainsusp.com/fd4_F150_80-96.htm It is made by Rough Country Suspension Systems. As for the SAS, there is too much down time involved in order for me to do it, and get it done correctly. Also, and more importantly, I am going to be swapping in a 3/4 ton / 1 ton frame before I do the SAS. Actually, the main reason I'm doing a SAS is because I'm swapping in a Cummins ISB, and prefer not to have to make a bunch of major frame modifications if I can help it. By the time I get around to that project (2-3 yrs), I will have bought and cleaned up the frame, the axles and suspension, and the drivetrain, and it will just be a matter of swapping body parts and etc. Believe me, I would rather have the solid D44 any day, but downtime is the biggest issue, as I only have 3 days a week to do what I need to do, and limited funds/tools to to it all.
