It was not in low. It dragged plenty, almost to the point of not being able to move. I have only had the truck for 6 weeks, had it in 4X4 1 other time about a month ago.
Hm...assuming it doesn't do this unless 4x4 is engaged, I'd definetly check into the front end, starting with the transfer case and working forward. Something obviously is binding. Check the front diff fluid. The guys around here reccommend engaging it I believe once a month, whether you regularly use it or not, just to keep the system working nicely.
Do you have the exact same tire size all around? Also, same tire size all around but having tires on one axle with a substantially different amount of wear than the other is not a good thing either. No need to jump into crazy stuff without starting with the obvious .
