suspension lifts
on a 78-79 ford f-250 4x4 what company makes a kit to lift a truck i know skyjacker makes a 4 and 6 inch lift. i am looking for a bolt on suspension 6 inches or a little higher and what size tires fit on those kits?

I have the same year and have been investigating this as well. The quality of the kit is something that needs evaluated also. But it seems Procomp, Sky Jacker, and I think superlift all carry a bolt on 6" lift. There is a guy on here named Ivan who has a 78 and has done alot with shackle flip/lifts. He also used 99 SD springs to lift the front. He has a total of ,I think 18" of lift on a really nice ford.

FWIW, Skyjacker has what many consider to be the highest quality suspensions on the market. I have one on my 78 4x4 F-150 and couldn't be happier with it. Skyjacker is a little more pricey than others, but you get what you pay for.

anything higher than a 4 or 6" lift will be custom or fabricated .i have a pic in my gallery under new and old pics of my 74 f 250 with a 4" lift and 3" body lift on it and 35" tires .could clear 42"s easily with it
