460 swap
I have a '78 f150 302 manual trans and am thinking about a 460 and a c-6 swap. Does anyone out there know if engine mounts and perches are in the same place on small block trucks as compared to big block truck? N-E help is appreciated.

You need to change the frame perches and engine mounts to do the swap. Most folks here recommend sourcing the parts from L & L. Or you could try finding parts from an F250 or F350.

Also PAW sells the conversion kit, which has the frame perches and engine mounts w/hardware. I believe it runs around $110.
just another option.
