Though your opinion is respected.....it is STUPID to say the least. Yes, perhaps ford has long sence made a great car, this is a truck site moron. Hence the "ford truck enthusiasts" right on the top of your screen. Think of it as a little reminder for ya.
When it comes to trucks, nothing comes close to FORD, other then GM, and DODGE. Do you really think ford has even shed a single bead of sweat about minor **** on companys such as honda, and toyota as real competiation for trucks. I dont think so.
take your japanese engineered vehicles and shove them. The only reason ill be owning one is for gas economy. For a good time and relabilty i can trust when the ricer breaks down.... i got a ford.
Thank you And please support our country, spreading the word of how good ricers are isnt to patrotic, putting it mildly. Obviusly you dont own a ford, and if you did you most likley ruined the engine by trying to run it on rice like the other cars youve prolly owned.

I hate to say this but,,, my bet is that if scraper gave you those numbers, Ford cars would not come out looking so good. Sure, they may be cheap to buy with factory cash rebates, but they still depreciate much faster than the equivilant product from Toyota, Nissan etc.

It is easy to bet:
F150 Supercrew New: now $28.5k
F150 Supercrew 2002: $13.9k
Toyota Tundra (SR5 Access cab): new : $27.5k
Toyota Tundra 2002: $13.7k
used condition: 60k miles, good condition, trade-in value
It looks to me that you will not save that much money!
trade in value has NOTHING to do with reliablity. look at the bronco II, a vehicle made for only 6 years, the newest one is now 16 years old, yet ive seen about 15 people who still use them as daily drivers up around in my town.Trade in value???? 300 bucks.....yet they still last into the 200,000. Maybe trade in value isnt justiflyed by reliablity.... more so a cars age, mileage and condition.
Oh yes, as ive sed before, they reason ricer truck owners harp on trade in value is becuase there familar with that figure. After trading in there vehicle every year just to get another one becuase of to many "issues" with there vehicle. They see higher trade in value as a plus. If you own a car or truck you really want to keep, why dose that even enter your mind.
"i own a ricer that i can trade in to get good money for, but i love this truck so id never do that"
Not likley, if you love your truck, you dont think about trading it in.
Problem is he didn't say For trucks, he said Ford cars.
Which makes me wonder why hes even here.......we dont care about ford cars. And ricer trucks dont matter

Sorry Mike, you'd be wrong. Take a $20000 Crown Vic and drive it for 200,000 miles over a ten year period. No comparison as the Japanese vehicles REQUIRE more maintenance at a costlier amount. Since we're limited to cars and I haven't bought one in 20 years, I'll have to use my dad's car. He's got an 18 year old Crown Vic with 190,000 miles on it and has yet to install a new water pump. A Japanese vehicle would have had 4 timing belts installed as well as front end work. I myself had an Aerostar for 10 years and 180,000 miles that cost me $2000/year (includes cost of vehicle) to own on average for the 10 years. Bottom line is that you will NOT find a cheaper total cost of ownership for a car than that of a Crown Victoria.
As further comparison, I found a 1989 Camry with 189,000 miles on it on Ebay for $1000. I couldn't find a 1989 Crown Vic with a "Buy it Now" price on it but I'm sure my dad's would sell for about the same as the Camry. I did find a 50 year old Crown Vic and it sold for $27500. I believe that's more than a brand new Camry. I'll bet you NEVER see a classic Camry.
i noticed somthing, that guy left......like a while ago. crapperdan, or whatever he was. I also noticed he was a new user. He did this to **** us off and now doesnt even look at this thread ne more. Before we make any more of fools of ours slefs by still talking about this as he luaghs and never comes back......lets just end this. And not post to future trolls. Ford rules!, and no one no matter how convincing the post will change that, not on this site, not ever.

To be fair that is a Crown Victoria... We all know Vics are solid as hell, but then again they have much more in common with a truck than they do an average car.
Using JUST the Vic as evidence is not concluding anything. Say the same thing for anything other than the Crown Vic based platform Domestic car.
And dodge is american, stop saying its a german car. Its owned by germans, not made, designed or even in there friggin country. Get it right. Dodge has nothing in common with VW.

That's just plain stupid. I took the standard bearer for each company and make a valid comparison and you say I'm not playing fair. BS and you know it.
BTW, if you don't like it post your own comparison instead of crying about mine.
The purpose of this forum is to make intelligent comparisons of other makes against ford. They don't have to be in favor of Ford but they must be reasonable in any matter or direction. NO BRAND BASHING WILL BE ALLOWED! PERIOD!!
