I answered your other post as well. We use this on everything, every job we do & it works good. Oil's & silicones are a tough thing to get rid of. Steam cleaning sometimes is a good first step, then wipe it down with prep sol.
Many times when things are taken down to bare metal, we use an etch primer as well & this seems to help on possible contaminated area's, but prep prep prep is still the key. Multiple cleanings may need to be done, depending on what level of perfection you are looking for.
