This is my first visit to this forum I came over from the big bronco forum, my 88 gave up and I just didn't have the time to put into it any longer.
I picked up a 99 EB Explorer and have a question that I am hoping somebody can help me with. Yesterday the airbag icon on my dash started blinking after all other warning lights turned off after start up. The light then went out for maybe a second and then came back on and stayed on. Is this just something that needs to be reset or symptom of a larger problem. I always got great feedback on the big bronco forum and am hoping for the same continued help and support here. Thanks in advance.
Mine was doing that. I posted a few weeks back and got good answers...couldn't find the post. The number of blinks have to do with driver or passenger (I believe it is the side air bag). I disconected the clips under my driver and passenger seats, made sure they were clean and everything, reconected...the system has been fine since. One of the post a month ago stated that this was a temp fix and the clips may need replacemt some day? Maybe you can find the privious thread, or someone may be able to give better knowlege.
Thanks for the link. I'll take a look at the connections to see if they are dirty or ?
This is why I like the ftm forums you can get good information or experiences without the cost of going to the dealer.
