hello everyone, I picked up my 350 diesel i ordered about 2 weeks ago and it has been flawless, except today i went to back up leaving work and the back up alarm was staying on and there was nothing remotly close to the sensors. The alarm itself doesn't pulse it just stays on in reverse only. I have them turned off with the buttton but as soon as i turn them on and put it in reverse the alarm stays on. I checked for tsb's and recalls but nothing. Just curious if anyone had a similar issue. ( It was sleeting here in jersey today but i wiped all four sensors off and it didn't help) Thanks a lot
Thats what they do with snow or frost, just wipe em off and when they dry it will stop. Thank god for the off button. Just remember when its off that objects are closer than they appear and that bad boy truck can do a lot o damage to a honda....

I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cringe!!
I have to agree though. The reverse sensors tend to be a tad picky. Any water or snow on them will throw a false alert, as the object/obstruction is perceived as being a fraction of an inch away.
It is quite handy the majority of the time though.
Thanks a lot i appreciate all the feedback i also spoke to my buddy who works for ford and also has a 350 with sensors and he had the same issue and said it is also due to frost and ice however thank you for the response take care
I replaced the tailgate and bumper on my F-250 with a hydraulic lift. Anyone have any ideas on how to put the reverse aid sensor in to that? The 'gromets' that go around the sensor are contoured for the factory bumper which will end up pointing the sensors down onto the ground about 6 feet behind the truck. (Well, about 15 degrees off of horizontal, so they could go up, sideways, or whatever.)
I found out about the tailgate deal today.
I couldnt figure out what the buzzing was.
(only had truck a few days)
It wasnt beeping it was a steady buzz so it took me a few seconds to figure out what it was then I figured out the tailgate deal.
