for those with questions about mounting front cross members for independent suspensions. this one is mounted 1" forward of stock (according to tci). note how the tire is more centered in the opening. this is still a little high, as there is no engine or trans. in yet.
Hey grncoup, is it the mustang 2 crossmember you installed or custom show? it looks good i installed the custom show crossmember in my 54 and the directions say move it foward 1 1/4". The reason i ask is because i do not have any body parts on my frame to confirm this movement and it is already welded into place. i did however call tci a couple times to get reasurance on the 1 1/4 forward. i am still a bit nervous that it may not be right.

i got the whole frame from tci. they list the wheel base as 111" which is one inch over stock. i was not shure this was going to be enough as i had read about moving the cross member forward more, but i am happy with it the way it is. it looks right to me.
