Steering colar(???) and column

Ok, couple of things, for lack of proper name, I have a rusted out collar (the stabilizer for the column that mounts to the cab and works as a seal also), where can I get one?
Next Question, What is the typical length of a steering column's on Fords, are some longer and some shorter, I am a big fella (6'5", 320 lbs) and on by 79 F150 4x4 SWB I fit behind the wheel ok but there is like 6 inches plus of clearance between the dash and the wheel (at the top) and I swear I have seen them with more seat room. And finally, does anyone know where I can get a steering column with tilt/ and cruise (cheap and used preferably) Email me at senzfamily(No Email Addresses In Posts!) if you have want you want to get rid of.
I think that is it for now.

Bob, The 78 & 79 models were available with tilt. If you can find one, you will have all the pieces that you need. They would be in XLTs and Lariats.

LAST EDITED ON 08-Mar-01 AT 06:55 PM (EST)[p]the tilt column has to be from a 4x4 to make it an easy swap. check e-bay, sometimes they have one on from time to time.
