I am currently restoring my 1973 F250 4 x 4 and noted the engine identification numbers (label) which are Greek to me and I was hoping the list could maybe shed some light on the matter. The main number is FE281AA with a small "c" and "1" to the laft of the FE281AA. Below the FE281AA are a series of letters and numbers and each line has one letter / number punched out which are punched as follows:
- first line = D punched out
- second line = 4 punched out
- third line = 8 punched out.
On the right of the label there are three corresponding letter / numbers as follows:
- top line = C / 77
- middle line R / 0
- bottom = S / (illegible,faded)
I have a photo of the label that can be emailed for further investigation. I hope you somebody can help.
