I have a 94 F150 2wd XL that I have just bought ,and I noticed under the dash to the right of the gas pedal there is a black and blue box. I was wondering what this box is for whether it is factory or not. It is about the size of the computer. When I saw it I noticed one of the two plugs was unpluged. When I pluged it in it made a loud beeping noise for about a minute after the ignition is turned on. Thanks for your help.

Its the idiot beeper, it beeps if you open the door with the lights on or with the keys in the ignition and it beeps for a few seconds after you start the truck to remind you to put on your seatbelt.
