Excursion 5"?
Hey guys/gals,
After reading all this and that about how good 5" is I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on one and was wondering if anyone knows of one that will fit the ex. The 5" MBRP on xtreme diesel says the 7.3L exhaust fits "all models" I'm thinking that might be all trucks, but have yet to hear anything back from them. Thanks guys!! I can't wait to let this bad boy breathe!

i think the excursions are different than the pick-ups. 4 inch is plenty for most people 5 is just for bragging rights. i have a 4 inch straight pipe and it sounds better than any of the 5 inch sound clips ive heard. with the 5 inch the egts might be a little (if any) lower

5'' is all for sound. if you want just that, sound and no looks, i would get a 4'' downpipe and have custom 5'' system that exits in front of the rear wheels. you may not like that idea, so a turndown before the rear axle to the ground would be what youre looking for, unless you want the shiney tip hanging out there. i am not sure the 5'' over axle hump will clear between the axle and cab.
