Angry loosen power???

I recintley had some problems with the charging system in my 84 f150(302). I replaced the altenator, power cables, battery, and starter relay. For some reason the problem still exsists. The battery doesn't drain when the truck is off, but seems to drain only when the truck is drivin. I have power coming from the alt, but it doesnt seem to be charging the battery. the fusible link is fine and like i said, i have changed the starter relay. there is a box on the sidewall right under the starter relay, can anyone tell me what this is and do you think i need to change this out aswell? I have used up all my ability to find the problem and used up all ways of testing i could find in my haynes book. if you can help pleeeease do.

p.s. during the warmer months i was having trouble with my truck firing some of the time(not always), and i thought it was just flooding itself, could this be directly related?

The box under the relay is probably the voltage regulator which allows the alternator to charge the battery and governs the alternator output voltage to around 15v. I've had to replace this box twice on my '84 F150 (300) due to corroded terminals. It was less than $10 I think.
