remote door lock problem

Recently, the remote transmitters have worked some of the time, but most of the time, they don't work. I've replaced the transmitter battery, but no improvement. If I unlock the door with the key and open the door, and then try to lock it and unlock it with the transmitter, it works. If I just unlock the door with the key, but don't physically open the door, the transmitter doesn't work to lock it, or to unlock the other three doors. Any ideas?

Do they even try? How 'bout the lock button on the door or the keypad?

I have a 2005 cc 4x4 Lariat. Sometimes when I click the unlock button, it will unlock the driver's door but upon clicking it again, the other three don't unlock. No explanation from the dealership except that I may be clicking the button too fast and confusing the sensors in the truck. If I open the door and use the power unlock button on the inside of the door, I can click the remote and all of them work. My '99 never did this though.

Sounds to me like the dealer doesn't want to deal with it. Got warranty right? Sounds like an issue with the security module to me. (that's my best guess, and i'm sticking to it)
