I have a '99 F-150 4.2L Supercab. Does anybody know the steps needed to replace the multifunction switch? I posted a message earlier regarding a problem with the switch and saw some earlier posts that said there are other posts with directions but could not find them. Thanks.

Installation
µ 1. Note:
When the battery (10655) is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
I replaced the switch in my 97 F-150 about 3 years ago and all I did was disconnect the battery. I had it changed out in less than an hour.
I didn't have to remove the ignition switch but then maybe my truck is different than yours in some way.
Anybody know where I can find a multi-function switch online? Every time I search I come up empty handed. I hate to go to the dealer for anything. My truck is a 98.
