Hey guys I have access to a 9in ford out of a 68 truck will this work in my 88 Can I just swap it in and will my wheels fit everything ok? I'm thinking that it is narrower is this true. I don't like the way the older trucks would not track.
he wont need a speed sensor in that year. that sensor was only for RABS and that didnt work to well anyway. you need to measure wms to wms on that 9" what rig is it coming out of? if its a bronco then no it wont fit. if its a truck it may. if you can find one from 80-84
was just reading this and have already done the swap...so good thing i have a manual huh...no speedo...what can i do to correct this???did they put a mechanical speedo in any of these trucks i could just swap it in and change the transfer case maybe...good god this is turning into alot of work...i have a 95 and a 77 the 77 was my plow...it died...put plow on the 95 it really saged...so i wanted to do a sas...did that and the gears in my 95 turned out to be 3.08...so i was told from the local salvage yard that the sensor is only rear anti lock...well they was wrong...
