I was going through some older clothing of mine, and found some decent jeans that still fit, including one saying Made in USA, however, they're quite faded. Is there a way to restore them so to speak?
An update: I spent some time last night with some RIT dye and one pair serving as a victim. The result: they are now a royal blue like color which I like better then what I had originally.
Tear some holes in the old jeans, including the seat, and start wearing them...You might even sew on some ridiculous looking patches. My mother used to patch my jeans back when....and I refused to wear them....Today, it is all the rage with the younger generation....They buy them new like this...Like someone said....THEY spend thousands of dollars on these things......hmmmmm.....THE YOUNGER GENERATION.....!
I still have an old, faded and well worn pair with some holes, though no patches. They aren't name brand, got them from Wal-Mart about 3-years ago, but it might be entertaining to see how much they sell for on Ebay. hahaha
LOL, being a farm boy in the city for university, I see alot of people spending BIG money on those jeans, I offered to sell them my old ones at a good discount, yet they refused for some reason. Maybe mine have too many hole/rips/stains. Oh well.
Back in 2000 when I went to England I found out there was a huge demand for North American FADED Blue Denim Jeans.
I rounded up about 10 pair of Old smaller Sized Jeans (34's x 36's) and packed them up.These jeans weren't new ,thery were decrepid pants that I wore to work (in the concrete business) in the 70's and could have been used for rags or patches.
Before I left for England, my Cousins let their friends know I had some Canadian Jeans for sale and I was bringing them to England with me in June.
Once there I had sold them all the 1st full day and found myself 300 BPS richer.
That's right !
These kids paid me 30 GBP a pair >
The currency exchange rate at that time was $2.45 cdn / BPS which works out to $73.50 a pair.
