Rad support
1988 F250 4x4, I have notice that my rad supports have rusted out. How hard is it to replace this. I have been told that the old suuport brackets must be cut off and new ones bolted on, it this the case? If I decide to have someone else repair this, how much should it cost? Thanks for any help regarding this. Anyone know a good mechanic that will do this in the southeast Pa area, cash ?

I replaced the support on an 88 that I owned. It was about a 5 hour job. Lots of bolts and sheet metal screws. Everything was bolt on. All has to come off (grill, light units, batter tray, radiator, ac condensor, etc.) It is a bolt on job that almost anyone can handle, but it is a pain. Make sure to keep some band-aids handy. Some of those edges are sharp!
