i was quoted $400 by local shop to change plugs/wires and i supplied the parts
you can easily DIY all these simple repairs/maintenance for $150+- in parts and make $900 for your pocket, at least $50 an hour
your Aero has another 150,000 fun crusin miles left in it with good maint
pull the codes, do a full KOEO KOER and cylinder balance test, search Aero forum for procedure and post results here....you should not need to change plugs/wires yet if that is a 4L EDIS engine...i got over 100k on originals in mine and no problems, just changed for something to do...manual says 100k miles normal service period...my plugs were fine except the gaps were opened up to 0.070" + compared to new= 0.054" ....ran fine
these platinum plugs in the EDIS engine last and with ECU/sensors running correctly, don't build up deposits...
4L engines do carbon up....run a can of Seafoam thru throttle body with 1/8" tube into a hot engine, let set an hour, then out to freeway for 20 minutes of hard run....cleans ring pack and valve tulips....
then run a qt of water into throttle body with same 1/8" tube into hot engine....micro burst steam cleans combustion chamber of carbon deposits
do the O2 sensor after Seafoam and water injection to prevent contaminating the new O2....use a Bosch, they make FoMoCo and Motorcraft
