Wheel Hop
I have a 1984 Ford F250 4x4 with a 351 Windsor. I have really bad wheel hop and I know what causes the wheel hope as far as the leafs winding up. What kind of cheap traction bars would work? How long would they have to be to work good? Thanks

I picked up a set of Superlift traction bars from Bronco Graveyard for $190, money well spent. I am running them on my 84 F150 with a 4" lift and 33s, as long as they are adjusted correctly they work awesome.

Install a 2" "add-a-leaf" to firm up the rear spring (this should not change the ride quality much)
Omit the 2" factory block to bring the leaf spring closer to the axle.
Your ride height will not change
This should cure the wheel hop and cost about $50 bucks.
