I need new carpet in my truck as well, but I have thought about another way to go. I plan on using a liquid bed liner and lining the floor of the cab. Anybody have any suggestions on this?
I've heard of people doing this in the past and it sounds like a good idea to me. Just make sure you get a product that doesn't cure to a slick finish rather than a rubber like texture.
the best carpet i have ever used was by ACC auto custom carpet (i think) they travel to all the swap meets i think summit carries it also. it is $100 for just about any car or truck. check them out. you wont be disappointed.

I went with Line - X on the inside of my cab and couldn't be happier. Between my muddy boots and my dog its awesome and I don't have to worry about messing up my carpets.
Just make sure you relocate the ground wiring and high-beam foot switch before you take the truck in. Also, be sure when you take the carpet out to scrape the moulding glue clean.
I had my cab sprayed from the middle of the inside firewall to right under the back window.
Another thing is that I did not have the inside t-case access plate sprayed. If you wanted this done you could probably remove the plate and have it sprayed seperately. Im thinking about this. My truck is a 78' f150 4x4.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
Or you could go find some scrap carpet and cut to fit. That's what I did and I don't really care what happens cause if it gets messed up then I'll just go get some more. and the best part was it was free!

JC whitney had the med. blue carpet I needed to match the interior of my truck more perfect than just NAVY, they have more shades of whatever color your truck interior, plus it was a little more than SUMMIT (about $15 more)
I was going to try that but I got a carpet instead. I read
articles about putting rhino liner into the tub of a jeep. It
seemed like they were pleased with the results.
I just installed a auto custom carpet (acc) in my 79. It
is a quality replacement carpet. It goes all the way back to
the rear of the cab, so you need to take out you seat.
Got mines from J.C.Whitney & CO.
Good quality stuff, lays in real good. Got the molded type.
Always try to purchase the molded type carpets for any vehicle.
The other (carpet that's been cut to length) is horrible
to fit in a vehicle.
Just my .02 CENTS worth.
I got my carpet from Rhino Liner. It looks great and it not much more than new carpet. If anyone want to see my '73 F100 4x4 email me and I will send you a picture.
