Ok ive never been able to maje higher then a c in english in fact i failed for the first semester both this year(JUNIOR) and last year. I hate english, i think its pointless and should be taught in college only, i dont know of anything i like about it I cheat my way through the class and still fail and i dont get caught either. I think that all the hispanics and other foreigners who dnt speek english should have to take it not me.If i wanted to be a writer id learn big words and stuff, never knew that ranchers and cowboys needed proper english to work! Also i think a foreign language should be an option not a requirement im not taking one though, i failed out and am going on the bottom plan. As for advice id never take n ap class, im sorry but academic is so much easier except english cuz at our school its all the same with english

I had the same problem when I was in high school. I hated english because it was all about how someone felt, or how it represents something in literature. I got a C in my senior english class. But when I got to college, I am getting A's in my english classes. I still don't like english, but I just learned the system. Here are a few tips:
1. Use your resources: websites with summaries, people who have read the book already, etc.
2. Learn what the teacher expects. If you know what they want to hear, you can just BS everything.
3. Do all your homework.
You are just going to have to tough it out. There are always going to be things that you would rather do besides homework. Just get the homework done first, then you don't have to feel stressed out. College is much easier as far as homework. The work may be harder, but often you have a week or more to get an assignement done. Time management.
Also, girlfriends are the hardest to deal with. You can live with them, you can't live without them.

Thats right... So heres an idea.... BECOME A SUPPORTER! It's very cheap and you don't have to put up with the ad's on the left hand side, plus you get some perks to joining!
To get this back on topic, BKS pretty much said it. I learned throughout my high school career that different teachers expect different things. One of my teachers expected you to stay awake and participate. She also liked you to ask questions, which is proof that you're paying attention, unless you ask about something she already answered 5 minutes ago! That gave you 5 points a day. Another teacher expected us to take complete notes, which if the majority were done, you got 100 points at the end of each grading period. You just have to pay attention more and read the system. Once you do that, it's going to be a free ride from there on out.

hey peter i was in your shoes when i was in highschool and wish i had done all the work that was given to me. i suck at writing papers or anything for that matter. the only adive i could give you is either tell ur girl for a week or some u cann't see her and try to catch up on the work u didn't do or even better is get her to help you with the work. and i don't mean for u to have her do it cause you learn nothing from doing that
