I'm back..with stuff
Anyway- on the 400-got in most parts; roller cam (will get final specs out soon) will pick up block from shop and get the rotating assembly to him for balancing. Got a bunch of parts for invoice which saved major dough. All stuff that I listed in my build before. Still need to get the hei ignition from pro-comp- gpt one for my son's bronco and testing it out. names of stuff-scorpion, romac dampner, rollmaster 7(?)-key rollertiming chain, yada yada $$$bling.
Rings- dang I need to focus on this...want or think I want gapless and moly but?? well, input is always nice.
Amazed at how heavy the scorpion rollers are- but I guess the weight actually spun doesn't increase much. Also didn't know the roller cam required the block to be drilled and tapped for the retro kit- makes sense though.
Still working on the oz heads- mild to moderate exhaust porting and polishing chamber. Going with the monster valves. got headers and will put exhaust system on soon- the truck is running with a 351 in it.
still going propane and still expecting 370+ hp; 430ft/lbs and over 15 mpg with the rv, high compression, propane build....still a bit nuts too ...
also had front and rear bearings, brakes, suspension and steering parts checked and replaced on the '77, 150, getting ready for a new motor. all 4 ball joints etc...whew!!!! Same on my son's bronco-plus those^&*% radius arm bushings!!!
I had big time help!Last edited by roger dowty; Feb 28, 2006 at 10:23 PM.
