Water in the engine.

Just over a year ago I bought a Ford 400 ci mounted on a homemade stand which included the battery, starter, radiator, exhaust and everything else needed to run the engine. It ran great until after a hurricane with a lot of wind and rain missed us by a hundred miles but we still got the rain. However upon trying to start the engine nothing happen so I pulled the spark plugs to give it a compression test and water came pouring out of a couple cyclinders. I checked all ways to see if it was possible to get water in that engine to no avail. It was covered up when I left and still covered when I returned. I got mad, covered it back up and their it sits. Guess I got to busy. Anyway what should I do now? Without tearing it apart that is to get the water out and lub it up so I can run it again?... Thanks.

Water in the engine.

Sounds like it has an internal leak such as head gasket or cracked head and water seeped into it. If you left the water in the cylinder for an extended period of time it probably has rusted and may have even pitted the cylinder. If you have a pressure tester I'd check the cooling system to start with.
