Clutch switch wiring
Evening , Have a drama with the wiring for the clutch switch on a 89 250 7.5l manual. Need the color sequence to rewire as I can't make heads or tails of the manual. I have two green , two red a purple and a grey but which order they go back ...... ? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I do not have a detailed enough diagram with me to figure out all the wires. But I do know the red/blue wires(you called them red/purple) are the starter solenoid wires. These wires must be shorted together for it to start. So you can let the clutch pedal up till it touches the switch, and then take a ohmmeter and see what terminals are shorted together. If you hook these two wires there, then it will let the truck crank when the clutch pedal is up.
I am assuming you haven't messed with the brakepedal switch? The brake switch wires are lightgreen.
