Help with decorating Pearl.

Ok so the Blue Pearl is in getting liposuction ( body work) I have bought her some nice fake hood scoops. Then I was thinking of the following in etched window style stickers across the top windshield I was going to get either her name or stick her name on the doors at the base heading toward the back.
But somewhere I want a sticker that say 7.3 Power Stroke Turbo Diesel or should that just be 7.3 Turbo Diesel. Or should I stick that on the hood scoops or should I stuff her name on her bug deflector and look like grandma in grandpas truck.????
I think you can gather im having a blonde moment with all this.

Also I want to buy those under the truck blue glow lights like the low riders. I talk to the local low rider guys and they said there is a kit worth 300 plus or there are cheaper kits wirth 90. But they claim the cheaper kits will stop working in about 3 months. Im looking for suggestions here. Whats the best kit or all they all no good.

Plus im looking for idea on the tailgate. DO NOT SUGGEST Flame of bubble stickers down the side please. I do like Pirate stuff but dont want to be disney on wheels promoting the lastest Pirate of the Caribbean movie either.

Looking forward to your suggestions. ty

OK Pearl, I like the idea of a stylish name across the windshield and maybe a mural on the tailgate of a pirate ship say the ghostly Black Pearl? ( a pirate ship with a 7.3 l emblem on it of course!)
Scoops ? lay them on the hood and take a feww pictures make sure you like the placing, take your time looking at a few picture before you decide then go for it.

Now neon belongs in signs! don't do it ! Save your cash for a set of wheels?
Just my opinion, it's your truck do what reflects your tastes and makes you feel good about your truck. I guess the glow lites are good for when u drop your keys under the truck?

Thanks Frank you gave me the laugh of the day about the lites. Your on the same page as me anyway. already have a few nice shots of the Black Pearl. Was thinking about turning those into a glasscape for the back window. Thought the lights under would give it that ghostly effect.

If you really want some lighting under the truck, consider purple LEDs. The round clearance lights on the front of the wrecker body on my work truck are purple & don't cast glare into the mirrors. If you were to make up some brackets to hang them in key locations, you could light up only the areas that you want highlighted.
The rest of the decorations.......Try not to clutter it up too much. I think the Newfies have dibs on that look.

Thanks Dealford but believe it or not, Im Itailain. So I wont gunk it up too much. But im not capable of making those brackets either. I really dont think it needs a back window thing. Looks like the back window was suppose to be a slider but it is not.
Im more of a chrome type girl.

[QUOTE=, Im Itailain. [/QUOTE]

Mamma mia, U no "Itailain", u ITALIANO! cahpeesh?

Words of wisdom from my dad...
-Two kind of people in this world, Italians and those that want to be Italian!

-Never completely trust anyone who's last name doesn't end in a vowel!

- in vino veritas (maybe Al can translate latin too?)

Alla Salute!

Oh Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to learn Polish AND Latin?!?!?!?!
Ok Frank, let me give this one a whirl....
Dean Martin would probably say this if he thought the wine was "veritasty".
As you can tell, I do not know Latin.

Wink

I believe its "truth is in the wine." And yes my last name ends with a vowel.

i am amazed that AL did not suggest an FTE Ontario Chapter ticker on the tailgate , come on AL ,

so your truck is in the bodyshop getting a facelift , what color are you going to paint it ? <--- thats a blond test..

nothing looks as custon yet uncluttered as a lund RACERBACK , had on on my pink and black chevy dually very simple , very clean , ,

truckin magazine is a really good bible for the truck nut, pick one up.

vinyl stickers of the trucks name in a grey or slightly darker color across the tailgate would look good.

i'd have to see the truck , any pics?

No pics right now but will be.

Im not keen on playing with the tailgate much. A little maybe. Glad you mentioned the Lund Race back im guessing that the extra piece on back of the cab and not one of those stupid looking wing things that go near the tailgate.
The Lund style is just that. Styled to belong to a dually. However, There is another one without as much detail as the lund. I thought about that but seeing as sometimes Im lazy cause I had to hand wash my GMC dually for 20 years. I sometimes enjoy going thru the car wash. Question will those things get hung up in the wash and do they create any blind spots?
As for the truck with no pics. It's your common, 1999 F250 XLT powerstroke diesel with the cab. Nothing really special about her in appearance and she is Royal Blue mettalic. After reading these forums though, Mechanically she is very special. How do you enter a pic here anyway. They ask for a url and all my pics are in jpeg on the pc?
Thanks for the imput as soon as The Pearl comes back I will get some shots for you.

well if you can call up a picture of the monster truck named BLUE THUNDER , you should get a good idea of the racerback cab spoiler, as far as going thru the car wash , it should hold up just fine

now about that chevy dually you hand washed for 20+ years , there is nothing that can get the truck as clean.

also could you p.m. me i'd like to know a bit more about that chevy dually

ok I ordered today what I think you were talking about but didnt order a lund. Ordered the simpler version called a Nitrowing. Hence got rid of the glassscape idea for the back window. Anyway I want the cops to see my travelling mate of a coyotee.
As for the backtail gait maybe a nice pic of the Black Pearl and underneath it reads Nigh uncatchable.......Saavy! Sent you more info on the GMC and sent you info on the Chevy ah yes I have 2 live 1986's. lol. but the dually is the GMC. The chevy has a dump box.

Ps thanks for the help. Found blue thunder but that a monster car I think you ment the Truck called overkill and yes thats more of less what I ordered.
