I am looking into buying a 6" suspension lift for my 95 ford bronco and i need to know what other parts i will need if i just buy the kit not the system
im not sure what you mean by 'kit' or 'system'... the kit i bought and all that my buddies purchased came with everything you need (drop down brackets, rear blocks or leafs radius arm drop down, brackets, coils the whole deal) i wouldnt think it would be feasible to buy the lift piece by piece so i would look for a whole kit that has everything to at least do the front(everything minus leafs or blocks) you could always do the rear from your local parts store
I was whatching a show the other day and i wanna say that a Kit comes with everything you need to lift your truck 4" 6" 8" whatever you want. And a system
comes with all the same but allows you to up grade later when you feel the need to,
And don't qoute me but thats what i understood it to be.
I was pricing lifts for my Bronco, 4 years ago. From what I remember, the difference between a kit and a system, is how complete you want it and the price. A kit, has the bare essentials, where as the system has alot more that makes it pricier. They also come in two different classes. A class I has blocks and the Class II has the heavy duty leaf springs. If you were to get a Class II 6" system, you will get the drop pitman arm, springs, coils, shocks, bump stops, rear u-bolt kit, extended radius arms and sometimes the extended stainless brake lines. There are also some misc. small stuff that I can't remember. I ended up getting all of the above, minus the radius arms and stainless lines, which brought the price down 400 bucks. Even though I am happy with what I got, I think I would put the extra 400 in for the complete system, if I had to do it again.
Keep in mind if you go with a 6" lift you may have to go with longer driveshafts. It gets real close with the 6" kit, some get away with it but if you plan on any hard wheeling it will be a must.
