conversion using bronco
i have a 69 short box 2 wheel drive that i have been away from for too long .. i had a dream the other night to make it into a 4 wheel dr useing a 78ish full size bronco .. im thinking the biggest thing in my way is cutting and resplineing the axels as im shure their hardned .. any input is wanted and welcomed .... and thank you to all for making a great site russ

Not sure what you mean about cutting and resplining axles don't belive it will be needed, just swap everything over or try to put the truck body on the bronco frame. I belive the frame width is different between the two but axles should be the same you dont even have to swap out the rear end.

i asked becuse when i looked into swaping over to disc brakes i found that the 73 and up 's were wider so i just figured that the bronco would be wider also ... but being twin i beam i figured i just have the axels cut and splined ??? its just a thought process for now .. havent done any eye ball looking was looking for feedback
