how much $ would you pay?

Hey, I've a line on a Y block 239 cid. how much is to much...has some lifter issues but run's strong ans no oil leaks. how much would you guys offer?

Since its a 239, Speaking for myself I wouldnt pay more than $100.00 for it. Some parts are specificly for the 239 ONLY. Dont quote me but I think the front cover, water pump, fuel pump, cam and distributor are all 239 ONLY.

Sometimes parts are a little harder to find

As far as the orphan parts, it depends on whether it's a Dearborn or Cleveland version...

...but at any rate, I'm with Kevin, $100 is about tops, & only if it runs. What are the lifter issues?

The engine runs strong...one lifter was knocking till it warmed up...but that's about it...good strong engine

it would depend on how bad I needed it and how close it was.

I couldn't give a complete one away 5 years ago. Finally sold it to a scrap buyer for junk after I removed the starter and generator.
