Fuse Box?????

My son just got a 1987 ford ranger xlt 2.9l v6... I cannot find the fuse box, on my 1991 it's near the battery nope not on his. Please help. Also his 4x4 doesn't seem to be working does it have a fuse? no lights nothing when you push the button....

My son asked me if a 2000 ranger bed fit onto a 1987 truck his is rusted and he found one at the pick and pull for $50

Fuse 6 is wired to the cruise control & the 4x4 shift control. If the CC is also not working, check fuse 6.

Remove the sheet metal panel below the headlight switch & theres the fuses.

The 4x4 shift motor might have dirty electrical contacts.....so if the fuse is okay, check that out.

The 87 has fusable links so you won't have a power distribution box under the hood, just the fuse panel under the dash.
