Cool No Power (electrical)

Hey y'all,

Got a 89 F150, 302 V8, 4 speed manual. Put in new battery, ran for 2 days and now when turn key in ignition - NOTHING! NOTHING at all, no lights, no dinging, nothing. Acts like there is no battery. Any suggestions?

check to see if battery has a charge before anything. that will tell you either to look at your charging system or starting system, solenoid and so forth

In both cases.

This would indicate that the Fuse Link (14GA) coming off the starter solenoid feeding a large (10GA) Black wire with an Orange stripe is open.

A short at or in the Alternator usually causes this Fusible Link to open.
