Im Impressed!
There are so many posts with complaints and problems on our trucks....
Iv had trucks all my life. Iv done everything from mudding, hauling horse trailers, moving things in the bed from furniture to 4-wheeler and so much more. My husband talked to me into trading in my 00' 5.4 4x4 Expedition that we were having some mechanical problems with for a 'fuel efficiant' 04' Mits. Galant Im less then impressed with my car and it drives me crazy sitting so low to the ground, I have blind spots from hell and the road noise will drive you up the wall enless the radio is turned up to tune it out. I bump my head to this day a year after buying the darn thing every time I get in and out of it. Not to mention the interior space is crappy. On a good note Im getting average of 25-35mpg on it.
I was leary going into buying another Ford truck as we had problems with my 95' 5.4 4x2 and then even more problems with my 00' Expedition. But I have to say that SO FAR I just love our new truck. Its a new 05'(just hit 250 miles) Fx4 SuperCrew with the 5.4 in it. It drives just as good as my car, hardly any road noise and so comfy interior wise. It easily fits 2 carseats and lots of room for a 3rd person in the back.

Well, you certainly will not get 25-35 mpg w your new vehicle. But, from personal experience, I don't think you'll look back with to many fond memories either. I got a 06 Supercrew in Oct., parked my Stealth, and never drove it again until I sold it in December. My first Ford and my first new pickup. You're right. Drives like a car. Certainly better than any rice burner. Best of luck and enjoy.
