switch to synthetic
Steps to be done in order:
1) Buy case of beer
2) Buy synthetic oil of choice
3) Buy oil filter
4) Drink 1 beer
5) Buy 36mm socket to remove oil filter cap
6) Turn on radio in garage
7) See #4 above
8) Loosen oil filter housing and let drain
9) Remove drain plug and drain oil pan - 14 qts
10) See #4 above - while waiting for oil to drain
11) Remove oil filter and replace with new filter and o-ring - tighten
12) Re-install drain plug if totally drained
13) See #4 above - much needed rest
14) Pour in 13.5 qts of synthetic oil that you bought
15) Start motor and let oil pressure come up - 1-2 minutes
16) See #4 above - As you let oil drain back into oil pan.
17) Check oil level on dip stick and add accordingly.
18) Drink the balance of your case of beer for a job well done and enjoy your synthetic oil!!!!!

5a) realize you have the oilguard system installed and the socket does not work
5b) see #4 above while pondering how to remove pretty red cap w/o scratching it
5c) wrap some electrical tape around a cresent wrenct and remove oil filter cap
18) Drink the balance of your case of beer for a job well done and enjoy your synthetic oil!!!!!
