Pink Panther Cartoons
Is anybody on this forum a fan of the Pink Panther cartoons? Me I can't get enough of watching the Pink Panther cartoons, I'm so stoked that they now have the Complete Collection of Pink Panther released on DVD, it sure beats recording all of the episodes on a blank videotape.

I liked the actual movies with Peter Sellers.
Especially the scenes when Inspector Cleuseau came home to his flat and had to find Cato...
(In the middle of a fight)
"The Pheln, Cato - answer the pheln..."
"Yes boss..."
WACK!!!
(End-O)
(Picks up the dropped phone)
"Hello? Speaking-g..."
Peter Sellers raised both Slapstick and Urbanity to a much higher level than it was previously...
He was a master of the "Lampoon"

I liked the Pink Panther cartoons about as much as I liked the Road Runner cartoons. If I'd seen it a couple of times already, that was plenty.
That said, some of the things Wiley Coyote came up with from the Acme catalog were hilarious. And the couple of times that Wiley went head to head with Bugs were extremely good. I could watch the majority of the old Warner cartoons over and over with out getting tired of them, just not the Road Runner and although they were not WB cartoons, same goes for the Pink Panther ones.
sorry Dar, just can't share your enthusiasm

I thought the aardvark sounded like Jackie Mason too. But it was a guy named John Byner. He did a lot of voices and had some character actor parts on shows like Married With Children and Dharma and Greg. I best remember him on a variety show in the '80s called Bizarre. That was the show that launched Super Dave Osborn.

I liked those almost as much as the Pink Panther. The aardvark sounded like Jackie Mason.
"Hey! Littleant!"
Those craked me up.

I have heard comments about the aardvark sounding alot like Jackie Mason, I had no idea that John Byner appeared on character actor parts on shows like Dharma and Greg and Married With Children.

There were some speaking parts on the very early episodes, Pink Panther had a couple speaking roles in the very early episodes.
