Brake Question

I have a little over 26k miles on my 05 F-250 and my brakes have a slight squeek when I hit my brakes. It does not do it all the time only sometimes. Does that mean that I need to have a brake job or is it something more simple? Your thoughts please.

Unless that is all city driveing I would doubt you need new brakes. You may have a rock or glazed pads. Pull the wheel and look at the pads. If you not comforable with this then take it to the dealer or reputable brake shop. They sould show you what they find and let you look at it yourself before pressuring you to buy.

It is not all city driving, it is mostly HWY. Thanks for the advise. I will pull the wheel off and take a look.

Aren't you still under warranty? I know a day at the dealer sucks.

I didn't think that this sort of thing would be covered under warranty. It is just a normal wear and tear. If I am wrong, please correct. I would love to have it taken care of by the dealership.

Sorry, thought you said you didn't think it was time for pads. Whatever you do, make sure you torque the wheel lugs whenever you remove a wheel.
