Just wondering.

I thought italy's half with the fly guys n' such was cool. Canada could learn a little bit for the closing of the next winter olympics. although some of Canada's stuff was pretty cool.

Same here and it was really my wife watching it while I was walking through the living room. I think she watched some ice skating, but I just didn't care.

As far as those flying guys that's what Parachutist's train on.

It's a free fall simulator.

Woogs, Did you not see the 88 Winter Olympics ?

Canada doesn't need to learn anything as they proved it in 88.

Both shows in Calgary were also unbelievable.

Btw, the Olympics in Calgary Made Money.they are the only ones to claim this.

Talking

The Winter games were on?? One of my friends was in two winter games many years ago so you think I would at least tune in? Noooooo, I didn't even know they were on until half-way through the second week!

The games are not what they used to be. Too much drug abuse and flashy outfits. The grace and beauty is gone. At least the Tanya & Nancy show is over. I hope. There is an Olympic game every two years so I think it is flooding our minds a bit much. What I hate is the Summer games being called "The Olympics" while the winter games are called "The Winter Games." Why not just called them the "Summer Olympics" and the "Winter Olympics?"

Did you hear about Jill Kinmont falling and breaking her neck in the Olympic downhill qualifications? Isn't that just too... no wait, that was in the '50's. Well, they were the good old days!

Here in Canada we have annual *Winter Games* that attract athletes all over the world.
I haven't seen or heard any deviation away from the *Winter Olympic Games*

Maybe that was just a Media person that uses slang or shortens terms to describe
the Olympics without realizing there actually is a thing called the "(Insert Year) Winter Games" ?

It doesn't matter which country the Olympics are in, the opening and closing ceremonies always seem to be a bit flakey.

What i cant stand about the olympics is that they seem to add these new and corny games all the time. i thought the olympics was about tradition. If it is then then keep it the was it was, instead of tring to keep up with the x games

The Winter olympics haven't been around as long (80 Years) as the Regular Olympics that were started in Greece (back when Dono was a whipper-snapper)

They are still developing their own traditional games.

Seems like the show drags on too long and they put so much in it, it starts to become yuck-oh!
