I am looking for a brighter headlamp bulb, just wondering what some of you guys have switched to....most of my work is nightshift and my eysight is not the greatest anymore, there is a ton of elk and deer along the roadway.....I am just looking to replace the factory bulbs...any thoughts would be greatly appreciated...thanks
www.piaa.com has some bright bulbs for all applications. Get ready to pay though. I have a set of aux. lights from them that were 3 bills. I have heard good things about Sylvanias bulbs too. May want to try them.
excellent thank you...was just looking at them at our local canadian tire store........I don't really want to add driving lights and all that other stuff, just want to keep it simple....
i've used the silver star bulbs from sylvania....they are brighter and i like them a lot more than the factory ones...
Forgot to ask,do they still have a decnt range to them?
I had a set of bulbs, not sure of manufacturer, in my 96,they were a nice light for night driving but the light didn't carry all that far.switched back to factory...thanks again
I upgraded to the sylvania Silverstars ($37) and was very happy until I took a look on ebay and purchased the Xenon-Crypton headlights ($10) from EURODEZIGNS and the new lights made the silverstars look dull and yellow. I would highly recommend the Xenon lights! They are really nice when driving at night! EBAY Item number: 8042225914
I had some "Euro" bulbs off Ebay I bought cheap. They were too blue. They threw the light farther than stock, but it wasn't bright.
So I recently switched to the Sylvania Silverstars. I'm quite happy. Brighter and whiter.
I also swapped out my stock fog 9145 40 watt bulbs for some 60 watt ones. I think they were 9005's, but I'm not sure. I had to cut the tab down a bit, but it fit. I don't use the fogs all that often. But when I do, they are much better now. These I just bought some cheap ones off Ebay. No blue Euro crap, just brighter.

give this one a look i got a super set of h13's and h10 fog lamps to match at a good price with very fast shipping
Tried the Star White, supposedly their second brightest. Much dimmer than stock. The research I've done indicates the PIAAs at best replicate the performance of stock lamps but cost 2-3 times as much as anything else.
Now running GE Nighthawks. They don't have the super-white extreme HID look but they put down more useful light where I need it and are supposed to last longer than the silverstars. The Nighthawks provide 2-3 times the light of the 70$ PIAAs I used for less than half the price.
