Liquid Cosworth
I was reading a copy of Autoweek and saw an ad for "LIquid Cosworth" motor oils for high performance autos. Is this any thing special?

Per technical information on their website, it won't be an API SM rated oil and most likely won't ever be API rated. They claim it is recommended for SJ engines but the certification isn't there. It states that it is a Gp 4 and Gp 5 basestock or a PAO and ester mixed- the amount is an unknown. ZDDP at 1,000 ppms and moly at 850 ppms would make it rival Redline. At $8.50 qt, it is expensive and has few advantages for a stock street engine. For a non- street legal race engine it is probably at the top of the list with Redline.
