howdy everyone i posted this messege in another bord but not to many people answered. the question is. i put a 2 in spacer on my 390 so my carb would clear some lines that were infering with it. when i did this my kickdown is way off and need help bad because i like my kickdown. it is hooked to a c6 tranny. please help me
Cut 2 inches from an old one and section it into the one you will be using. I'd suggest you put the section on the most vertical place right behind the bellhousing since you need to go up instead of forward. Be sure it will clear the cab.
Then get someone else to help you bend it. You are asking like you think, that because you have added a custom part under your carb, that Ford just made a kickdown for you. HELLO

In the cool still quite of night you can hear chevies rusting away.
I put a 1" 4-hole spacer under mine and had to make mine longer, I cut the tube just above the bellhousing and added a 3" piece of tubing and drilled the ends and screwed it together. If you bend the tube, remove the tube first, I didn't and it bent the kickdown lever in the trans. Its fixed now :-)
