I just installed a c6 with my 360. I have a 70 f100. It came with vacume modulator hose from modulator to carb. Do i need kickdown linkage to the tranny too because it does not have it. My 2nd gear shift is 7 mph and 3rd at 15mph. I even adjusted modulator screw all the way in and out.
I've got that problem with my c4. I know what caused it, but don't know the best solution. The trans I put in my truck came out of a car with a 2.? something rearend ratio. My truck has a 3.90 ratio. Of course the trans doesn't know the difference in rearend ratios and shifts early with the 3.90 ratio. I am not sure, but I think the factory made slight changes in the control system of the trans depending on application. (like governor weights and springs etc.)
