body lift

i was looking around for a lift for my birthday present for my dads truck, i dont want to spend 1,300 for a 6 inch and i saw the 3 inch body lift. is this a relieble smart idea for a cheaper lift. and he has 35's from his last truck and wants to put them on if it will fit witht he lift any help would be greatly appreciated.

In my opinion, body lifts should be outlawed! They are unsafe...and I dont care what anyone says. Also to run one, you have to relocate the gas filler tube, all linkages from the cab to the frame, as well as radiator support, etc. Its a lot of work..and in the end, might not save you any money. He could fit the 35s, but will he be able to spin them efficiently? Id be willing to say no with his stock gears.

I once had a body lift and it was the worst thing that i ever did to the truck. I would go with the suspension lift or no lift at all. I must agree with WheelMA1 on this one, body lifts seem to be nothing but trouble!

I had a body lift punch through my old truck body and made it set unlevel havd to make a steel washer to sit level not worth all the work and damage

I only support a 1-2" and thats for trailriding to protect the exhaust system abit more.aside from that, screw body lifts.
