95 351 w sound
for the last 7 months my 351w makes a sound like the fuel injectors are dirty.It only seems to do it when i press the gas pedal down all the way like going up hills pressing the pedal down to get up the hill or getting on the highway pressing the pedal down to pick up speed.I have used all kinds of injectors cleaners and I still hear this sound.The truck is a 95 250 4x4 it does have alot of miles on it 220,000.Im really dont want to buy a rebuilt engine yet since i wont have the cash till the summer.

You won't hear injectors unless you're right next to them and probably using a stethescope.
Are you talking about a ticking sound that only happens under load?
Can you describe the sound?
It sounds like an exhaust manifold leak from what you're described so far.

Right now I run 89 octane gas. I used to use 87 but I got a lot of knocks and pings.ill try a higher grad gas for a few weeks and see what happens just did a tune up this past fall so I know its not that.the sound I hear is coming from the engine but what it is I'm not sure yet.wish I could tape record it and play it for ya.

Does it sound like a metal can with ball bearings in it as if someone was shaking it?
Now it sounds like you're descibing ping/detonation.
Put 93 in it and see if the sound goes away...if so that's probably it.
The higher the octane the more resistance to pinging/detonation.
Check your timing first.
