Fuel Filter Question

Getting ready to do the prepump mod and picked up a Mr Gasket clear glass filter with changable element today, Part #9748. There is no info on the package about fuel pressure so I went to their website, mr-gasket.com and there they say this filter is for systems not to exceed 10psi. So how much prepump pressure is there on my 7.3? I'm thinking this filter wont work,,,,or will it?

Pressure? How about vacuum from sucking fuel from the tank. U can install a vacuum guage to monitor your fuel filter cleanliness.

I have a Motorguard inline fuel filter, prepump, that filters down to 1 micron using
a roll of TP. Very effictive filters.

I don't know of any fuel system that runs under 10 psi. Nut's right, that the filter should be installed pre-pump. Check to be sure that the filter is a suction type filter, or it will work in a suction type placement. If it's rated for that, you should be good to go, as long as the flow rates are good enough. I would look for flow rates of 30 GPH. I have a Dalh filter installed and am very happy with it. See my gallery for some pics of it installed.
